If you want to clean the exterior of the microwave oven, use baking soda. You can also wipe down the outside with vinegar after scrubbing. To thoroughly clean the inside of the microwave oven, add two tablespoons of lemon juice to a cup of water in a microwave safe bowl. Heat the mixture and allow to boil for approximately five minutes. Wipe out the inside with a sponge.
