Kitchen secrets/Cooking tips
Preparing Philly Steak Sandwich Meat
It's not necessary to own a meat slicer to make a good Philly steak sandwich. You can cut paper-thin pieces of steak , ready to be thrown onto a hot , oiled griddle , by starting with partialy frozen sirloin , blade , or round steaks and employing your food processor .
1.Trim the fat from the steaks and cut into 1-inch-wide strips.Freeze the meat until the exterior hardens but the interior remains soft and yeilds to gentle pressure,25 to 50 minutes.
2.Once the meat has been partially frozen, place the strips in the feed tube of a food processor fitted with the slicing disk.Turn on the food processor, and use the plunger to push the meat down into the blade.
3.The food processor will shave the meat into small, paper-thin pieces.

She had been prescribed different medi-cations in two similar-looking eye-drop bottles, so we clearly marked them to indicate the order in which they had to be administered. The nurse was checking her eye pressure before she went in to see the doctor and asked what medicines she was on.
My mother said she was sorry she had forgotten to bring the bottles with her, but she knew exactly what they were: “No. 1 and No. 2.”
